To create one, POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/ (for example: curl -X POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/). The JSON reply has ingest_url, where to send webhooks, and requests_url: GET it to wait for the next request. It waits up to 25 seconds and returns the request as JSON.
For a Cloudinary test URL, send {"type": "CLOUDINARY"} as the JSON body.
If you can only make GET requests, ask the person to open https://inspect.hookdeck.com/webhooks/cloudinary in a browser and share the URL it gives them.

What are Cloudinary webhooks?
Cloudinary is a cloud service for uploading, storing, transforming, and delivering images and videos. Its webhooks tell your app when assets are uploaded, transformed, renamed, moved, tagged, or deleted.
Testing them usually means a product environment, a notification URL, and uploading or editing assets. This page skips all of that: a live URL plus real sample payloads for every common event.
How do Cloudinary webhooks work?
- Delivered as HTTPS POST requests with a JSON body — notification_type names the event: upload, rename, delete...
- X-Cld-Signature is a SHA-1 or SHA-256 hash of the raw body, X-Cld-Timestamp, and your API secret — not a keyed HMAC.
- Respond 200 within 20 seconds. Cloudinary retries 3 times — after 3, 6, and 9 minutes — then drops the notification.
- A notification_url on an upload call replaces your global triggers for that request, unless the trigger is additive.
