To create one, POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/ (for example: curl -X POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/). The JSON reply has ingest_url, where to send webhooks, and requests_url: GET it to wait for the next request. It waits up to 25 seconds and returns the request as JSON.
For a Hugging Face test URL, send {"type": "HUGGING_FACE"} as the JSON body.
If you can only make GET requests, ask the person to open https://inspect.hookdeck.com/webhooks/huggingface in a browser and share the URL it gives them.

What are Hugging Face webhooks?
Hugging Face is a platform for hosting and sharing machine learning models, datasets, and Spaces. Its webhooks tell your app about commits, settings changes, discussions, and pull requests on repos you watch.
Testing them usually means a webhook in your settings and pushing commits or opening discussions. This page skips all of that: a live URL plus real sample payloads for every common event.
How do Hugging Face webhooks work?
- Delivered as HTTPS POST requests with a JSON body — event.scope and event.action name the event: repo.content, update...
- Not signed — Hugging Face sends your secret as is, in the X-Webhook-Secret header. Check it on every request you accept.
- Respond 2xx right away. Failed deliveries are retried with backoff, and a webhook that keeps failing is suspended.
- Retries and replays reuse the Webhook-Id header, so dedupe on it. Each webhook is capped at 1,000 triggers per 24 hours.
