To create one, POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/ (for example: curl -X POST https://inspect.hookdeck.com/). The JSON reply has ingest_url, where to send webhooks, and requests_url: GET it to wait for the next request. It waits up to 25 seconds and returns the request as JSON.
If you can only make GET requests, ask the person to open https://inspect.hookdeck.com/webhooks/paddleclassic in a browser and share the URL it gives them.

What are Paddle Classic webhooks?
Paddle Classic is Paddle's original merchant-of-record platform for selling software, now closed to new sign-ups. Its webhooks, called alerts, tell your app about subscriptions, payments, refunds, and payouts.
Testing them usually means an existing Classic sandbox, a product, and checkouts with a test card. This page skips all of that: a live URL plus real sample payloads for every common event.
How do Paddle Classic webhooks work?
- Delivered as HTTPS POST requests with a form-encoded body, not JSON — alert_name names the event: subscription_created...
- Signed with RSA-SHA1 in the p_signature body field — verify it with your Paddle public key over the other fields, sorted.
- Respond 200 within 10 seconds — even a 201 or 204 counts as failed. Paddle retries every 15 minutes for up to 3 days.
- Verifying means PHP-serializing the fields, so other languages need a php-serialize library. Dedupe on alert_id.
